Music Market Co-Work is a bright, open-plan shared office with 12 desks available to emerging and established professionals from across the Victorian music industry.
In addition to being an office environment for productive work, Music Market Co-Work is a space which encourages interaction and collaboration. Weekly coffee mornings and regular social events support networking and community building.
A mix of short and long-term residencies (minimum 2 months) are available via expressions of interest. Desk space can be secured anywhere from one to five days per week. Casual visitors are also welcome pending desk availability.
Music Market Co-Work is located on the lower ground level of Music Market and is accessible from Johnston Street via a ramp. While the entrance doors don’t open automatically, there is a doorbell for access. The kitchenette includes one bench at a lower height providing access to some appliances, cutlery, crockery and glassware. There is an accessible all gender bathroom on the same level.
Music Market Co-Work supports the business and development needs of professionals within the Victorian music industry. We house a diverse group of emerging and established industry professionals with a wide range of expertise.
Music Market Co-Work offers a variety of desk arrangements and can facilitate solo workers and small teams.
The office is also uniquely positioned to welcome music industry visitors from around the country and the globe, who are looking for a space to work and connect with the Victorian music community.

When desks are available, casual visitors are welcome at Music Market Co-Work. Casual day passes will be managed daily on a first-come-first-served basis and visitors can call ahead or drop in on the day.
Casual passes are also available for visitors of Music Market Co-Work residents and can be booked in advance. Residents can speak the Music Market team to arrange this.
Residents are able to request the following plans:
1 Day per week – $130 Monthly Fee (inc. GST)
2 Day per week – $240 Monthly Fee (inc. GST)
3 Day per week – $345 Monthly Fee (inc. GST)
4 Day per week – $435 Monthly Fee (inc. GST)
5 Day per week – $475 Monthly Fee (inc. GST)
All plans will be invoiced monthly, on the first day of the calendar month. If you sign up part way through the month you will be invoiced for a prorated monthly fee on your first visit.
A credit or debit card will be required for automatic payment and your card will be charged three days after the invoice date. A transaction fee of 2% will be charged in addition to the invoice amount. Other payment options are available upon request.
The principles of accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of Music Market’s philosophy.
Residents identifying as First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, D/deaf and/or Disabled, LGBTQIA+ or regional workers are entitled to a 25% discount on resident plans.
Minimum residency period is 2 months.
Casual day passes are available subject to desk availability at $40 inc. GST per day.
